Star Trek Deep Space Nine – The Complete Seasons 1-7 [DVD] (2004)

Great Deal Star Trek Deep Space Nine – The Complete Seasons 1-7 [DVD] (2004)

Because only the best series of Star Trek DS9? It 'been a very good distribution, but clearly not the best of several series of the franchise. Deep Space 9, the space station, was not particularly convincing, nor the rates are very different from other shows. I think the reason is easily surpassed the other quality shows was the premise of the political agenda and as attached to it from beginning to end. Although Cardassians, Romulans, Klingons and appears on other series,DS9 only to exploit the full potential of their battles with each other. The introduction of the Bajoran, the Jem'Hadar, the Dominion and Breen gave the series a complexity that no other series even close. Long lines always give more depth and range focus, and was one of the main limiting factors in other series, all based on independently, without any real world history, and Voyager, which was built a long history of bowStructure but failed to adopt.

Although the main character was not much better than the other Star Trek series, the series of recurring characters were by far the best. Garak, Gul Dukat, Rom, Nog, Martakis, Keiko, Leet, Great Nagusi Zek, Brunt and Weyoun (both played by Jeffrey Combs), Damar, Vic Fontaine and many others gave the show depth and diversity. Oh, and we must not forget that morning, perhaps the most famous television character who never said a word,Dialogue. This is not the best work in different ways to fully exploit the contrasting cultures of different races. I never happened to the Klingons in a series like DS9 and demonstrates that culture is stupid enough, along with the suggestions that were about to change, e. I was slow to Ferengi want, but I have come to light absurd, they must assess hyper free market capitalism in our society (Milton Friedman kind of logicExtreme).

Although DS9 was suspended in a mythology developed in the original series and refined in the next generation, the series Babylon 5 really more the clock. Both were built in space stations, worm holes and more. The two treaties with the ongoing political conflicts. Both commanders have a prophetic destiny. Both started at about the same time (DS9 began in January 1993, when Babylon 5 season started in 1994, but this TV movie that served as backturkish pilot Feberuary was published in 1993). B5 has a large number of devotees. I am not among them. I have a number of problems, I think, the weaknesses in writing, the writing of a lack of strong personal (J. Michael Stracyznski, although probably tried a great writer, just wrote even his shoulder, though not very well written with humor and a little stilted dialogue – I think the show would be stronger if he hadallowed other writers to take over most of the load, so there is still much work to write) and a bit 'extreme quality and design a bit' strange characters (I think Peter Jurasik hair ridiculous and absurd accent). I fully understand what aspects of B5, some pushing, but generally I'm not worried when I show weakness, or at least in a position to lose. DS9 whole field does not contain sufficient degree of pathos B5, which withtragic story of Londo and G'Kar complex fate, but I find it a total hit series more consistent, with fewer missteps that clouded B5.

I noticed that in conversation a surprising number of people who have seen the original series and Next Generation, Voyager, or even not seen Deep Space Nine. Among the four main series of the franchise (which I see as an offshoot of the series less business than others), has been watching the series at least, despiteIts by far the best. I think part of the explanation for this is the story more complex. The other three series, one can easily lose one or two dozen episodes, and much enjoyed the episode, all aspects of understanding of the episode. But if you lost a dozen episodes of DS9, you will find things completely changed since the previous episode. This reflects the continuous development of history.

Although I have every Star Trek series seen at least twice all the waythrough, is the series that I'd be more concerned Rewatching times. I must admit that, overall, I'm not a big fan of Star Trek, but I'm a fan DS9 very determined in my personal ranking of the best science fiction series of all time, then the Star Trek series, which rank with a Battlestar Galactica (DS9 alum led by Ronald D. Moore), Firefly and Farscape. Any serious fan of SF TV has probably seen many times already, but I think somethingNana Visitor, said in equipment for the seventh season box set is true that people would like the first time I saw him, but they still Rewatching be very surprised how good it is. And the sign of a good series is much better than it is the second time through.

Beware of Chinese Bootlegs – Valar1 – Kalifornia, USA
Do not let people with a brand new factory sealed "DS9 at ridiculously low prices all mine [wrong was $ 100 less than the official price of Amazon] – are bootlegs of China, are new, are similar to U.S. officials However, it is of poor quality, you can use to make a difference because of the smallness of the plastic material to cover, cheap paint used to paint the logo on the discs, and the fact that the discs are no air bubbles in their procedure. can not be frozen or even ifplayed depends on the quality of the player. You are always pulled down, they say cost 1/5th China 1:10, these people are in the United States is said to have addresses here, but the games have shipped directly from China to you Home [takes about three weeks, the] road and pay for the settlement of sloppy stuff. I know because it happened to me, I thank the wound an application with Amazon, and God, the guys are honest and helped me recover my money. I-5 stars for the show, 5Stars from Amazon, and negative 5 for selling pirate scum

I love DS9, but some of the discs was coded right – Keith O. Judon –

I LOVE Deep Space Nine. The show never came, he deserves or respected. However, with the record I bought, in particular, some of them were not coded or programmed right. Instead, the menu to navigate through each episode, I had coded information behind, and while I'm playing positions of all the episodes that I was still able to easily navigate through the five seasons -7 limited.

Star Trek Fan Collective – Q

Great Deal Star Trek Fan Collective – Q

As fans of Star Trek TNG know, the Q one of the most interesting villains ever franchise has been completely. In each of its episodes, shows the crew of the Enterprise to a new moral dilemma of what to bring, not just for some entertainment, but also thoughts. John de Lancie plays the role well, combining arrogance with some humor and ruefulness that to bring a great sense of comic relief to Star Trek. It 'nice to finally allThe episodes on one disc.

My favorite scene is D: TNG "Tapestry" Picard in his bed (hairy chest and all) from what may be a night with an attractive young woman. A hand reaches out slowly from the screen to touch my hair. As Picard turns to his research partner, the camera pans directly on the Q in Starfleet uniform next show Picard smiled sadly. Gotta love it!

My only problem is that windows are not in HD quality and not comment much. Hopefully in the futureVersions.

It would have been great, a movie with TNG Q (rather than their pathetic Remanso). Oh, we have at least this series!

Q it up again! – freshbakedmama –
Of all the strange, dramatic, exciting and well, … strange story Trek universe, the Q's most memorable episodes. Q is the character that has allowed the authors of most of the space for true creativity, in my opinion. Q visits usually the best opportunity for dialogue and humor of the situation can not be the primary Trek Trekkies looked, but still fun. This DVD collection is full of the best franchise in this rangeArena.

Delance who plays John Q, is the best, the best player to ever show his face on the bridge of the Enterprise, and is pure pleasure to see him portraying the unpredictable, unquantifiable Q.

The Q-episodes, perhaps more purely Trek fashion, the opportunity for some questions to reflect on the meaning of being human, civilized way to explore and develop. Of course, this was a television series, particularly the letter type waded downsome very deep fields. Simply, the dark water, but this episode watchable by an audience outside the Collective fan.

If you like Star Trek is probably the collection to have. If you like Star Trek, will be even more …

Star Trek Fan Collective – Q Overviews

4-DVD set collects the favorite episodes featuring the popular character “Q.”

Star Trek Fan Collective – Q Specifications

Volume 3 in the Star Trek Fan Collective series focuses on the show’s resident deity, Q, played with indignant mischief by John De Lancie. While previous Fan Collectives have taken votes to select which episodes around a certain theme would be included, Q makes things easy (the character never made things easy) by simply including all 12 episodes (two are double-length) in which he appeared. And because Q was especially fond of tormenting Captain Picard (Patrick Stewart) and his crew, most of the episodes are from The Next Generation, including that series’ first episode, Encounter at Farpoint. Subsequent episodes are “Hide and Q” in which the crew plays a deadly game; “Q Who,” in which a temper tantrum throws the Enterprise into its first-ever encounter with the Borg (also included on the Fan Collective: Borg set); “Deja Q,” in which the character becomes a normal human; “Qpid,” in which Q tries to play matchmaker by turning Picard into Robin Hood; “True Q” in which Q reveals the truth about a mysterious young woman; “Tapestry,” in which Picard shares a near-death experience with the godlike thorn in his side; and the series finale, “All Good Things…” Q also made brief stops in the first season of Deep Space Nine (”Q Less”) and in Voyager. In “Death Wish,” Q tries to help Captain Janeway (Kate Mulgrew) recover her male crew members after an encounter with another member of the Q Continuum, “The Q and the Grey,” in which Q wants Janeway to bear his child; and the final season’s “Q2,” in which Q’s son arrives to cause chaos, such as removing Seven of Nine’s (Jeri Ryan) clothes. As with previous Fan Collective sets, the only new features (and in this case there are no other features) are text commentary on three episodes by Michael Okuda and Denise Okuda. –David Horiuchi

Star Trek Fan Collective – Time Travel

Great Deal Star Trek Fan Collective – Time Travel

A very good collection, even for fans who were not so fanatical. The episodes of travel time are still some interesting routes in the series, and under the city "on the brink of eternity" is the biggest challenge in terms of ethics and plot complications. The script is this one of Harlan Ellison, who, like watching a professional writer of fiction and talented, they expect to push the boundaries a bit 'deprivation of the original series. The other episodes are all interesting, butTNG is a bit 'lower, and therefore have a good overall performance, the script is "inflated" and the lack of dramatic tension. Overall a good value and pleasant shopping.

Star Trek Fan Collective – Time Travel Overviews

The STAR TREK: FAN COLLECTIVE – TIME TRAVEL has the top ten most popular Time Travel episodes as picked by the fans! Join the adventure with all of the characters from Star Trek: The Original Series, The Next Generation, Deep Space Nine and Voyager as they are transported back into time, discover mystery ships from the past and take courageous action to change history.

Star Trek Fan Collective – Time Travel Specifications

If you want just one Star Trek DVD set in your collection, Star Trek Fan Collective: Time Travel may be it. Of the 15 time-bending episodes on the affordably priced four-disc set, two are perhaps the most acclaimed in franchise history: the Original Series’ “The City on the Edge of Forever” (written by sci-fi giant Harlan Ellison) and Deep Space Nine‘ s “Trials and Tribble-ations” (in which the DS9 crew is cleverly edited into the original crew’s “The Troubles with Tribbles” episode). The other selections are the Original Series’ “Tomorrow Is Yesterday”; The Next Generation’s “Yesterday’s Enterprise,” “Cause and Effect,” the two-part “Time’s Arrow,” and the series finale “All Good Things…”; DS9’s “Little Green Men”; and Voyager’s two-part “Year of Hell” and series finale “Endgame.”

One could quibble with the episode selection. Because the Fan Collectives were compiled by vote from fans, Voyager’s series finale “Endgame” was included even though it was also on Fan Collective: Borg. It would have been nice to remove that duplicate and substitute the acclaimed DS9 two-parter “Past Tense,” which would have been a better representation of that series than “Little Green Men” (in which the Ferengi travel to Roswell) and “Tribble-ations,” both of which are deserving selections but considerably lighter in tone than the series as a whole. Also, Enterprise isn’t represented at all. The only bonus features are new text commentaries on three episodes by Michael Okuda and Denise Okuda. –David Horiuchi

Star Trek Deep Space Nine – The Complete Seventh Season

Great Deal Star Trek Deep Space Nine – The Complete Seventh Season

About the only complaint is that you could do in seven seasons, the story might be too much for the number of episodes. There were some stand-alone episodes, but most of the episodes of the season, seven were in the terminology of X-Files "mythology." The events of the last episode was a bit 'compressed, but the series has a leading role in monitoring large story arcs. In general I think it is one of the most satisfying wrap-up of a series over the last ten years. In the first completed before the end of the show was the way to a show.

The season reaches its climax with all the different stories that show for six years, has dominated the resolution. With the domination pushes more and more space of the Federation and Breen (as an ally, and forward), the layout of Cardassians, has an important job to bring everything to a collision.

One of the most controversial of the seventh season wasReplacement Terry Ferrell (Jadzia Dax), with Nicole de Boer (Ezri Dax). You hear different versions of what exactly happened participation Terry Ferrell, the end of the series, but there is no question that they have money in the game. He had a six-year contract signed after discussing the renewal, I suppose that if the powers under the ball low, its agent probes new dates, which led to his show moving BECKER try. I have not seen Ferrell left the show, butI liked the change that Ezri Dax led the show. Unlike the very confident and assertive and Ezri Jadzia and introverted, less secure and less willing to accommodate the symbionts. She quickly became one of my favorite characters in the series. Now this is what strikes me. You hear that, Nicole de Boer joins the show unpopular, but what I mean, they wanted. Of course, Ezri Dax hates, but I think it is right to love both Daxes. Iis the complex nature of their relationships with people who knew them first as Jadzia.

One of my favorites to be added in the seventh season, although he was briefly introduced in the sixth season, James Darren, Vic Fontaine, a singer in Rat Pack-style casino Darren was absolutely brilliant in the role, and each episode, where it appears, is a highlight of the season. And somehow, the series ended in Vic's room. Although there were scenes that occurred after the finalSuddenly, the whole cast was in the room with song Vic "Just The Way You Look Tonight," with all the writers and producers to act as a facilitator in the tables in front. It 'was just a great way to say goodbye to all the characters.

This is just my favorite "Star Trek" series, in fact, the only thing I can honestly say that I love. I regret that did not take the season to eight. I think it was a lot of petrol in the tank and are easilysucceeded in one year. But it may be best to go early if you do the ideas, but is more than a consolation for me is more of a real conviction. Fortunately, this is the "Star Trek" series, which is better for me on the opinions of the users. And the series Star Trek, which I think is one of the best SF TV series of all time are taken into account.

Note: In the very special character, be sure to fund for hidden objects. There are many, manyand several short films, so be sure to press the button to the left and right and up and down arrows on the remote. Almost all the principal streams on DS9 has a feature to keep little Nog, Gul Dukat to Rome to Kai Winn Jeffrey Combs are many characters, so if you want to hear that someone in his absence, his eyes open.

Great Series. – DashingSimple –
Season 7 is a great conclusion of one of the best scripts written for the universe of Star Trek. The only thing I have not yet been made on DS9 and VOY, the DVD case. Not the highest quality. But apart from that small detail, it is really worth buying for any fan of Star Trek.

Star Trek Deep Space Nine – The Complete Seventh Season Specifications

Deep Space Nine’s seventh and final season came down to loose ends, tying some existing ones together while allowing others to unravel. Symptomatic of the unwillingness to let DS9 go was the immediate arrival of a replacement Dax, though poor Nichole deBoer as Ezri Dax had to have known she’d already missed the boat. Her appearance encouraged last-minute romances to blossom, with Bashir finally getting some action, Odo finally getting together with Kira, and Sisko finally proposing to Kassidy. Another contributing cute factor were numerous trips to the holosuite wherein the all-knowing Vic Fontaine dished out philosophical advice. That was when the crew wasn’t in there to play baseball against the Vulcans, or when Nog wasn’t commiserating about the loss of a leg.

Oh yes, and don’t forget the War! There was an early announcement that the show would attempt a 10-part resolution to the Dominion War, but viewers could be forgiven for forgetting all about it with so much sentimental distraction. When the horrors of war did resurface, they at least injected a few surprises into the mix. Odo and his ambiguously “evil” Founders were hit with a melting disease, prompting a backstabbing race for the power of developing and owning a cure. The original baddie Cardassians finally settled on the Federation’s side. Contrary to these interesting twists, however, were the unexpected turns taken by matters relating to Sisko’s spiritual destiny. Suddenly the mystery of the wormhole and an entire religious belief system was reduced to the problem of correctly translating the words of a sacred book. The struggle to join with some evil aliens significantly diluted the attempt at resolving what had begun seven years before in the show’s pilot episode. Ultimately, Sisko’s destiny, as with all those who’d followed him to the open-ended climax, was to be decided elsewhere. In a move that was either bold and daring–or possibly born of desperation for not having thought things through properly–the show’s storylines were to be continued in a series of spin-off books. –Paul Tonks

Star Trek Deep Space Nine – The Complete Fifth Season

Great Deal Star Trek Deep Space Nine – The Complete Fifth Season

There is good reason for this is STAR TREK: Deep Space Nine my favorite series on Star Trek: it is more like a series of incorporating episodic format. No Star Trek "series has been completely set, but was by far the closest. This has always been something of a mystery to me, because clearly Star Trek: Voyager should have had that distinction. This series has been completely renovated to be a series, the show begins with a natural (Voyager stranded in theDelta Quadrant), medium (ride on most of the dial), and a return late (Voyager in the Alpha Quadrant, and then the house). But by focusing on short-ever meeting new races and challenges, traveling, what is his strength was. DS9, but is more of a T-series on political relations between the Alpha Quadrant, Rich, and makes it even richer with the introduction of the Dominion and its founders, come from the Gamma Quadrant. DS9 My only regret is that it has never been a series like Full Blown Farscape or Battlestar Galactica, but if it was a show.

Another reason was stronger than TNG DS9 and Voyager is that the games less with Magic Science belongs, or a speculative science strange solution to a problem (a device that sometimes paralyzed two sets, but not as much as some series of otheras "Stargate SG-1, in which scientific solutions was stupid sometimes, when a comedy show – how many times have we seen other versions of reality, which makes the main characters?). In most cases, moving from DS9, on the maintenance of realism. The exhibition focuses very few scientists but also interstellar global politics and interpersonal relations. Actually, I think, other ST series was the most natural step, but the writing and the format was so strong thatmore to repair.

There have been some developments in Nice in the fifth season. Kira was the child of O'Brien. Nog even as something as an intern during the absence of Starfleet Academy (never really explained how that was possible, but Nog has had a great time as a lieutenant at sea – more fun than a villain – so that it is correct) . Odo was again a Changling. The largest single span, which really annoyed me was Dax and Worf. Only a few pairs that I saw on TV the least chemistrythese two, not only as lovers but as friends. I find it absolutely impossible to buy two of them, even as friends. Do not you feel well together, there was something in the way the game was fun, fun, and not observed. At least I do not like watching them.

One thing that surprises me is when DS9, as has been consistent from beginning to end. People love the debate about the Seasons, which shows are the best. People constantly debate whether squadron had two, three or five of Buffythe best, and since in reality better than other seasons, makes a constructive discussion. For other shows, there is little to discuss. Farscape Season Three was so good that almost no series had never been a season may compete. But this might be a good example for which only about every season of DS9 as the best, although I think the whole season was slightly better than the last. But this was only because the series will benefit form the cluster of stories. Overall ashow very good.

Great Watching – P. Busby –
It 'was an attempt to see if "used" have been good! I am happy to say it was perfect except for the use of 'look' for responding to this entire series, if followed through without problems and has won research and money that I paid for it.

No show. – T. M. Rose – California
The DVD is coming soon, are defective, but unfortunately two of them. I returned them for free with ease, but were a disappointment for Christmas.

Star Trek Deep Space Nine – The Complete Fifth Season Specifications

Deep Space Nine’s fifth season was a turning point from which there was no going back. Character and information overload took over, and the complicated twists and turns in the build up to war either hooked viewers securely, or sent them away with a headache. The Klingon faction instigated by Worf’s arrival was occasionally played for laughs, but mostly their hardheaded personalities made all efforts at diplomacy moot. In the opening episode a chilling possibility is proposed as to what might be: have the Changelings infiltrated already and replaced key personnel? Some fans saw this as a flawed X-Files-style development. Nevertheless it sowed a seed of insidious suspicion, affecting all the principal casts’ relationships with one another, even allowing Odo and Quark an opportunity to confess a degree of friendship. Expanding on the new theme of duplication, the crew also made numerous trips to their mirror-universe counterparts.

As well as new uniforms and the milestone 100th episode, Nana Visitor and Alexander Siddig got to comically disguise the arrival of their child during filming. More laughs came from the fan favorite “Trials and Tribble-ations,” with CG allowing Sisko and crew to interact with Kirk and a cameo from Leonard Nimoy. Avery Brooks began taking a backseat, partly a result of the now-overcrowded cast. Although Sisko’s destiny would be foreshadowed by his first vision and the introduction of the Pah-wraiths, the Captain was in an increasingly sulky mood. Brooks only directed one episode, allowing room for regulars LeVar Burton and Rene Auberjonois to do more behind the camera. Joining them were Alexander Siddig, Michael Dorn and even Andrew Robinson. Available space started to seem hardly deep enough. –Paul Tonks

Great Deal Star Trek (3 Disc Digital Copy Special Edition with Limited Edition U.S.S. Enterprise Packaging) [Blu-ray]

I put on the table: The movie was excellent. The actors were all recorded in the current situation, the minds of the characters with whom I grew up. The film is also full of action and beautiful graphics and downs. They managed to seize any character including, without sounding too cliche, and is ideal for learning the origin of "Bones" McCoy's "Get nicknames.

The plot is engaging. It 'was a journey that typically contain an error, but if in addition to general problemsTravel in the past have tried to do crazy things for the paradox. The trip was actually a very important institution of the plot, as are the authors of the history of the characters a bit '. It starts with a series of scenes that illustrate the training events in the life of Kirk and Spock too. Once the film begins, the character development that weave the story in general, and I think that is what makes truly great film – we have invested in the characters Kirk and Spock.

I really liked Star Trek and is happy to recommend because it's in HD.
